Matt O’Sullivan, CEO

Matt O’Sullivan brings extensive marine industry experience to his role as CEO of ErectorCraft. As an engineering officer onboard ships, ABS class surveyor, technical representative for USCG and USN vessels, and maritime executive, Matt has spent his career ensuring high standards and innovation in marine operations, fabrication, engineering, and business development. His understanding of shipbuilding, vessel classification, marine engineering, small craft hulls, and innovation positions him uniquely to lead ErectorCraft in its mission to transform the marine industry through Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM) technology. Under his leadership, Erector Craft is pioneering the integration of advanced 3D printing solutions to deliver stronger and more efficient production of marine hulls and coastal construction, decentralizing LFAM platforms overall, and bridging tech into the US marine industry.

 

Leonard Dodd, CTO

Leonard Dodd is a highly accomplished engineer and innovator with decades of experience in automotive engineering, advanced manufacturing, and large-scale fabrication. As Chief Technology Officer of ErectorCraft, he applies his expertise in engineering, design, and cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to revolutionize the marine industry. He has led groundbreaking developments in total vehicle engineering, including his pivotal role in designing the Shelby Series I, showcased at the Detroit and LA Auto Shows, and contributions to major platforms like the Mustang, Taurus, and Expedition for Ford as well as the development of countless NASCARs and other projects for various high profile clients. Beyond automotive, Leonard is a leader in large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM), having founded ErectorBot, Inc., where he pioneered large-scale 3D printing and robotics, the same technology now driving advancements at ErectorCraft. With deep expertise in aerodynamics, fabrication, CAD/CAM programming, electronics, advanced composites, extrusion, and injection molding, Leonard is now redefining marine industry craft design, performance, and manufacturing capabilities.

 

James Gibbons, COO

James Gibbons serves as Chief Operating Officer at Erector Craft, where he spearheads the integration of Large-Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM) technologies into the marine industry. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in marine operations, project management, and business leadership, James has successfully overseen complex logistics and large-scale project execution across various sectors of the marine world.

A graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and furthered by a business education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, he has held key roles that refined his operational expertise—from managing marine terminal operations to leading offshore wind projects and significant international marine oil and gas initiatives. His deep industry knowledge, strategic mindset, and commitment to sustainability empower him to drive operational excellence at Erector Craft and redefine the future of marine industry innovation.
